Dear Ms. Pollard:

I am pleased to share with you the text of a resolution adopted by the National executive Committee of the Zionist Organization of America at its meeting held in New York City on April 2, 1995:

PRESIDENT CLINTON SHOULD RECONSIDER HIS DECISION TO DENY CLEMENCY TO JONATHAN POLLARD

WHEREAS, the Zionist Organization of America has in the past urged President Clinton to commute the prison sentence of Jonathan Pollard; and

WHEREAS, President Clinton recently announced that he has decided not to commute Mr. Pollard's sentence;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the ZOA respectfully urges President Clinton to reconsider his decision and commute Mr. Pollard's sentence.

We would appreciate your disseminating the ZOA position on this important issue.
