The Justice for Jonathan Pollard RSS Feed

What is an RSS feed? Why would I use it?

An RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed, also known as a news feed, XML feed, syndicated content, web feed, or simply a feed, shows frequently updated content published by a website. You view a feed using an RSS reader, also called a news reader or aggregator. All major websites now offer feeds, especially news sites.

Viewing a feed is a quick and easy way to see the latest updates on a website - you never have to worry about missing the latest news.

When an item is added to a website, it also appears in the feed, along with details such as its date and first paragraph. The way you display these details varies with each RSS reader, but often involve clicking a plus sign (+) to expand the RSS item and display its details.

The title of an RSS item is a link. When you click this link, the item on the website is displayed.

For more information about feeds, see the detailed Wikipedia entry.

The best way to learn about feeds is to actually view one. See the next section for instructions on how to view a feed.

How do I view a feed?

There are different ways to view (or "subscribe to") an RSS feed. All of them are very easy and depend on your personal preferences. Most of them are web-based, which means you can view them in your web browser without having to install any software. Others, such as the free FeedRunner program, are actual software programs that you need to install but have greater functionality.

The methods are listed here in order from the most popular to the least.

Method A: Subscribe to the Feed in Internet Explorer 7 or Mozilla Firefox

This is the probably the easiest way to view the feed. The latest versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox actually have built-in RSS readers. Follow these steps to view the feed:

  1. Click on the following link:

  2. The RSS feed is displayed as a list of the latest items along with their dates and brief descriptions. Click any of the links to view the entire item.

  3. To subscribe to this feed, follow the instructions in your web browser. Subscribing to this feed means that you are adding it to your list of feeds, so that you can easily access it later. This is similar to adding a "Favourite" or "Bookmark" for a website.

Method B: Add the Feed to Your Google Home Page or Google Reader

If you have a free Google account, you can add the feed directly into your Google home page or the Google RSS Reader by clicking the button below and then following the instructions:
