Hoshana Raba occurs on the 7th day of Succot, October 3, 2007 B"H.
According to "The Book of Our Heritage" by Rabbi Eliyahu Kitov:
"On Hoshana Raba there takes place the final 'sealing of judgement' which begins on Rosh HaShana and Yom Kipur and all the world's inhabitants pass in review before G-d for judgement. During the festival of Succot, the world as a whole is judged for water, and for the blessings of the fruit and the crops. The seventh day of the festival - Hoshana Raba - is the final day of the 'sealing of the judgement.' And since human life depends on water, and the end of a matter is decisive, Hoshana Raba is somewhat similar to Yom Kipur. There is profuse prayer and the quest for repentance, as on Yom Kipur."
