Eitan refuses to comment on Pollard

June 12, 2006 - The Jerusalem Post

Rafi Eitan, leader of the Gil Pensioners Party, refused to state explicitly Monday whether Jonathan Pollard, imprisoned in the US for 21 years on charges of spying for Israel, had been advised that in the event of his capture Israel would not come to his defense.

"What do you think about asking someone else about everything that happened when he worked for [the Mossad]?" Eitan asked in an interview to Army Radio.
