MK Kleiner to visit Pollard in North Carolina prison

Herut MK Michael Kleiner, who heads the Knesset lobby for Jonathan Pollard, will visit the convicted Israeli spy in his North Carolina jail cell today.

Kleiner will present Pollard with a petition signed by 110 MKs calling for his release, which Prime Minister Ariel Sharon presented to US President George W. Bush during his recent visit.

Kleiner said he intends to tell Pollard, who has served 16 years on charges of treason, that the state has not abandoned him and he will make sure that the government will leave no stone unturned to bring about his release.
