Jonathan Pollard, convicted of spying for Israel and serving a life sentence in the US, doubts he will ever be freed from prison, according to Knesset members Ophir Pines and Michael Eitan.
Pines and Eitan concluded an official visit with Pollard a short while ago at a federal prison in North Carolina.
A discouraged Pollard said he has stopped taking medicine for his failing health, Pines and Eitan told Israel Radio.
Pines said he will intensify efforts to secure Pollard's release when he returns to Israel.
